Birds emerge
…from the studio in groups – 2, 3, even 4 or 5 at a time. These are drawn from an old natural history book, with color added afterwards. I have watched Kevin’s creative processes and inspiration come and go over the 28 years we’ve been together. In recent years, whenever there’s been a clog that finally busts loose, birds are usually the first ones to pop out. These are a handsome and welcome bunch. A different kind of spring. And outside the window, the birdsong in the morning starts earlier, with increasing intensity.
