@Eatwriteretreat – tomorrow!
Tomorrow starts Eat, Write, Retreat, my first ever food blogging workshop. Can you imagine…a bunch of foodies, all together in one DC hotel, cooking, writing, eating, learning about food photography and more? No, wait….. not just a bunch of foodies, but a bunch of bloggers……no, wait…FOOD bloggers…..
Whoa! I’m going to learn/taste/share some great stuff! Plus, I get to pitch some ideas to some pros…..like a story about shipping watermelons from Delmarva fields on skipjacks up to Baltimore harbor - to the Watermelon Promotion Board. Etc. There are a bunch of great sponsors….and I have a lot of fresh ideas.
My participation is possible due to my excellent, generous sponsors – Johnny Oyster Seed of King Solomons’s Aquafarms, Carol Bean of Pot Pie Farm, Judy Harrald of Claiborne (Mayberry), Alison and Luke Howard of Homestead Farms in Millington, MD, Lolo Mengel of CoosemansDC, The Talbot Spy and my awesome family. Thank you, friends!
So with an eye toward learning, I practiced camera angles at Sweetie Bakery this morning in St Michaels - an “everything” bagel, toasted with cream cheese……
….and more on Eat, Write, Retreat to come.
