the hue? aqua blue

…at the Georgetown Yacht Basin. Situated on the Sassafras River in Kent County, this harbor is the classic yacht Elf’s home. We stopped in to say hello as we passed through. Elf is on the hard, getting her annual bottom paint. Captain Rick and some of Elf’s volunteers were hard at work. The boatyard there is filled with interesting stuff, and a terrific aqua blue hue makes it even cooler than it already is.

  1. Uncanny – My absolute fave color! I am actually looking for an old weathered surface for shooting (around 24″ x 36″ ) in this exact tone. If you run across anything or anyone who might be open to selling a salvaged piece, please let me know – I would be most grateful and appreciative!

  2. Come on by the studio next time you’re on the Eastern Shore – Kevin will make you up a weathered looking piece any size you want. He can make anything. The Missouri Botanical Garden once hired him to make a new stucco wall look like it’s a thousand years old. When he was done, it sure did.
