art is everywhere

Walking on Christmas eve through the beautiful campus of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, I spied a sculpted snowman on top of a trash can along the paved walk.

Less than a foot high, four little balls of snow, some carefully placed twigs, an oak leaf hat and a jaunty ribbon.  Someone turned a pile of nothing into something – and fashioned a festive little fellow for this Christmas eve.

I hope his creator knows that he was seen and appreciated.

Because by dawn, surely, he was gone.

  1. Happy little guy. I noticed the #, and wondered if you were participating in a challenge. ( I’m newly aware of these and doing the Small Stones challenge myself). There’s a lot of inspiration for the day to be found by searching on “art is everywhere”! Now I’ve got a burst of motivation for the studio. Thanks!

  2. That snowman has style!

  3. Happy New Year Bosin-Garbers!
