“..if you can’t buy it at the Green Dragon, it chust ain’t fer sale!”

….local saying, according to their website (www.greendragonmarket.com) in Ephrata, PA – Lancaster County. One of the largest indoor/outdoor farmer’s markets/flea markets on the East Coast. Even in the cold of winter, there’s all kinds of stuff going on. Christmas eve afternoon trip. Super fun. WAY cheap food – for instance – black grapes .99/lb, 3 mangoes for a buck. And just like Soulard market in St. Louis, this is not local food but man, you can feed a family pretty inexpensively if you shop there. I used to take 20 bucks each week to Soulard market, then come home and take a picture of what I got for that 20 dollar bill. I was always amazed. But back to Green Dragon – it was fun, it was cold, and it was colorful. And it’s in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
