Armchair Watermen

Eric and Kevin go break ice at the dock and get some oysters for lunch – these are the ones that we started in November of 2009. Really nice sized, absolutely delicious. Here they are at the dock (it’s 16 degrees out. Totally freezing. Real watermen spend the whole day out on the water, which is hard to imagine in this kind of weather):

Fried in a cornmeal batter in butter – they were fantastic.

  2. Holy smokes, lookit the size of those oysters in that fry pan… three of ’em would make a po-boy sammich! Those must be some kind of super-oyster, right !!??!?

    • You would know! They were delicious. Really milky. I’m going to make some stew next, and we’ll take some up to the Garber January birthday party in Lancaster, too.

  3. Yum yum. Would there be an extra place at that dinner table?
