Barn swallows

….at the harbor. Beautiful. Wikipedia tells me they’re the most widespread species of swallow in the world, and also the national bird of Estonia, among other things. All I know is that they’re migratory, and once they arrive here, they’re everywhere, sweeping and swooping, peeping and cheeping, swinging wildly around the docks and harbors. They build nests underneath docks; one female built a nest high on the wall in Pot Pie Farm’s barn in recent weeks, she flips and zooms all around the people, dogs and chickens there. Nice.
