Full Beaver Moon

I guess that you’ve seen the full moon this month? Beautiful. You can tell that this was taken one day before the actual full moon. The Farmer’s Almanac calls this the Beaver Moon – this is the time to set beaver traps before the marshes freeze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. It’s also sometimes known as the Hunter’s Moon or the Frosty Moon. Whatever you call it, I sure call it beautiful.

Born in the sign of Cancer, I’m ruled by the moon. And yes, I do feel her pull – in and out, with the tides, circular, cyclical, round and rolling as the day is long.

  1. Great picture! Whenever I try to capture the moon over the water (with my iPhone), I get a small bulb in the air. How did you do this?
