When I saw the entire boatbuilding staff of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum show up this morning at McMartin and Beggins, to help clean up after the fire, I almost choked up. Journeyman Shipwright Jen Kuhn said “wood craft people stick together.”

A big group of friends, neighbors and all the local wood people showed – some 30 people in all. With shovels, dumpsters, front end loaders and teamwork, the piles of hardwood, glass and trash were cleaned up pretty fast.

One Response to “community”

  1. I am so sorry to see friends suffer such a terrible case of arson. I only wish that I was able to help in the clean up. It is truly heart felt to see such community efforts to help in this time of need. It is from a gerat Eastern Shore Community that we see friends helping friends. I love the people of the Eastern Shore!
