it’s gotta be torture

This is an unfortunate, but true story.

Every autumn, Kevin catches a lot of fish.

A LOT of fish.

BIG fish. Delicious fish.

His friends and family get all whipped up, and figure out when and how to arrange their busy schedules to come down here and fish with him. And every time they do?

They get skunked.

Then we post stuff like this on the internet.

It’s gotta be torture.

Sorry Ranl, Mont, Daryl, Misha…….

  1. Gorgeous catch! But isn’t that always the way? Mike actually came home yesterday and said he’s “so bored” of bringing home Rockfish. When he takes friends out….nothing. Maybe some people give off vibes like tasty fish bait!
We’ve been smoking it and making jerky. The plan is to store some for winter. But I can’t keep my hands off of it.
    Happy feasting!

  2. The both of you are so funny. What a beautiful fish. I have a great big reach in freezer if you need somewhere to store your plethora of fish.

  3. WHY does that ALWAYS happen?

  4. Oh, that reminds me of the time someone emailed a picture of Rand with a brown trout that he caught at the cabin – a perfectly big, lovely brown trout -and I emailed back, “that’s not a fish, THIS is a fish” with a picture of us with huge rockfish. I still feel guilty about that.

But Kevin looks HAP-PY! in that picture. Yay for rockfish. Maybe we can eat some when we come see you next weekend!
