Tilghman Island youth leaning blue?

Word on the street is that in Tuesdays’ mock election at Tilghman Island Elementary, Obama won with 61% of the vote. Presumably, many of the elementary school kids (certainly not all) vote what they hear at home.

Hard to imagine, that in this reddest of red counties, in an even redder, watermen community like Tilghman Island, that the youth is leaning left.

And now, let’s talk about ANYthing else….

  1. From what I heard many students strayed from their parents to vote for Obama once the classes began talking about the issues. Ah Democracy at work. I also know of one little firecracker that is an Obama supporter and was giving impassioned speeches in her class about why Obama would make a better president…………I will give you 1 guess.

  2. The crabs you catch are blue crabs, but your citizens turn them red, and they’re much the better for it, in my opinion.

  3. The republican party as we know it will never stand on it’s present posture. They are living in the 50’s and at ligthening speed being outnumbered by other races. 50,000 Latinos turn 18 years of age every month, you can’t send womens right backward 30-40 years with your political posture, and the candidate needs to stand on his own beliefs and not be puppeted by a few to capture votes. It’s time to change to survive!
