“pick up that pen and write this down!”

…he said.

And since he’s a big guy, wearing a uniform and a badge that says Chief of Police, I picked up my pen and wrote it down.

“I don’t cook, and I’m single.”

“No, wait – don’t write that!” he said.

Too late. Got it, Chief.

St. Michaels said farewell to our beloved Police Chief Dennis this weekend. St. Michaels Town Commissioner Joanne and George Clark, and Town Manager Jean Weisman were kind enough to let me jump in on their farewell lunch at the Big Pickle, so I could interview the Chief for this story on the Talbot Spy.

Best wishes to you, Chief, as you head off to the other side. You will be dearly missed here.

And may your social life blossom over there! This man is a gem.  Hey, Annapolis ladies, are you listening???

Much success to you, Chief! Don’t be a stranger.
