Circus Camp at Tilghman Elementary

I had the great fun of experiencing some group yoga with CircusYoga founders Erin and Kevin O’Keefe and the Carpe Diem Arts group last year (what’s not to love about “combining the consciousness of yoga with the celebration of the circus?”) So I knew that the June circus camp for Tilghman Island kids was going to be great fun. But it wasn’t until I walked into the schools’ gym on Friday afternoon that I realized exactly how much great fun it was going to be.

Can you imagine the feel of a room with 92 kids pumped on adrenaline, performing all at once with the support of a dozen teachers, great foot stomping music and hundreds of families in the audience? Yup  that’s exactly what it was like! Bravo to Carrie Kabler and the team of staff and volunteers at Tilghman Elementary School! (now – STYLE!)
